The Council meeting begins at 6:00 pm with guests from the County, Washington State Ferries, the School District, Parks and Recreation, the Port of South Whidbey and others. Commissioner Melanie Bacon frequently holds an open house at the Hall between 5:00 and 6:00 pm — confirm with the commissioner's office.

We've gathered Whidbey's authors for an afternoon of books, mingling, and craft mocktails. Chat with local authors about their works and get a start on your holiday book shopping. Support local writers while sipping on free craft mocktails by library gastronome Karen Achabal. Book sales and signing will be available. Some sales will be cash only.

Blood Drive
The need for blood never stops! All eligible blood donors are needed to ensure our community hospitals have the blood inventory they need, to move us into the New Year! Donors age 16 and older are encouraged to book a one hour donation appointment.
