Electrical upgrades in the kitchen

During the extended power outage last December, we opened up the Hall to the community to make power & internet available. We had a tremendous response over several days, with close to 100 people using the facility to charge devices, enjoy hot beverages, and to connect to the internet.

Following that outage, the Hall board has worked to figure out what we could improve to better support similar events in the future. One thing that topped the list of problems was a lack of electrical outlets in the kitchen. In response, we’ve had seven new outlets installed. These will benefit general use of the Hall, as well as ensure we are better able to provide power to the community during emergency events or power outages.
