Landscaping expansion, phase 1

The Clinton Community Hall has been a beneficiary of grants from the Whidbey Island Garden Tour several times, and in fall 2025 we were thrilled to learn we had been awarded another $2,500 grant to continue improvements to the landscaping at the Hall. Thank you to the folks at Whidbey Island Garden Tour for all they do to beautify Whidbey Island!

In November 2025 we kicked off what we’re calling Phase 1 of plans to expand and improve the landscaping at the Hall. This phase will focus on the area between our parking lot and Highway 525, where we will replace the current grass with small shrubs and other plants. As a highly-visible property to anyone arriving on Whidbey via the Clinton ferry, we want to help showcase Clinton with beautiful plants & landscaping.

You’ll see activity over the next few months, and we’re hoping to have the area planted by spring. The first visible steps will be adding a layer of wood chips to the areas we’ll be planting.
