Welcome Steve Franks, our newest board member

We are happy to announce that Steve Franks has joined the Hall Board of Directors, bringing us up to a full seven members.

A native of Spokane, Steve moved to Whidbey in March 2023. Steve’s career was in urban and regional planning; he worked in Spokane, Kansas, and Washington County, OR. One of Steve’s passions is historic preservation; he has volunteered on many preservation-related boards.

Steve is thankful for life on Whidbey, where he and his canine companion Cooper Joe live on 5 acres in their little log house – their “Shangri La.” Steve enjoys walking, gardening, spending time in nature, reading, building community, and new adventures.
